Moment Factory and Unreal Engine posted a couple interesting videos showing off how they are integrating DMX programming and pre-viz into Unreal Engine.
While much of this is not necessarily that much different from programs like Vectorworks Spotlight suite or the venerable Cast WYSIWYG, it is the unified workflow potential offered by Unreal Engine to connect so many aspects of digital production, from pre-viz to arch-viz to live event content generation to interactive experiences that makes the concept of connecting Unreal to DMX lighting controls so intriguing.
