10 YEARS LATER, I FINALLY GET MY MARKETING VIDEO
—crank the volume for this one—
Back in 2016, I was leading the development of my Luminous Patterns corporate venture at Philips and I badly wanted a hot 30-second video to position us clearly for high-end hospitality and retail projects. I always imagined some sort of cross collaboration with Tom Ford (or at least using models wearing his clothing) mixed with the raucious “Everybody Wants Some” from Van Halen…because you know…candlelight.
I wanted to highlight the sensual light effects our walls could produce – a radical concept of “embedded lighting” as architectural surface.
I didn’t have the budget to produce it (nor a Tom Ford connection, nor the rights to a Van Halen song), not to mention the dogmatic facists at the Philips brand standards police would never have approved anything remotely this sexy.
So one AI-revolution later, I can finally extract the vision in my head that’s haunted me for a decade straight.
So, you what do you think…10 years on…would you spec this?
PS…you find a ton of historical content about Luminous Patterns here on my blog.
