Via The Verge – former Microsoft researchers have launched a new startup called Lightform to bring advanced projection mapping technologies to a more mainstream market.  Microsoft’s research concept for enhanced projection mapping dates back to at least 2013 when it publicly revealed its IllumiRoom concept.  Features they are advertising include auto alignment, easy app control, 3D scene scanning, and automatic “AI generated” stock effects.
