If Buckminster Fuller was a lighting designer, he would have created this…
Ligeo is an interesting lighting concept from German company GiP Innovation Tools, which I came across at the recent Euroshop 2017 show. I love how they took the essence of a pure line of light and “structuralized” it into a dimensional construction system, with a very interesting and flexible hinged joint system. Add a variety of lengths, angles, and some basic trigonometry and presto – you can create some wild forms, ranging from highly regular ’80’s style “space frames” to meandering flowing forms.
