Via Core77.com, an interesting concept for a luminous retractable shade from Siyu Lou, a young Chinese industrial designer.  I definitely see application for a concept such as this in cramped urban areas or for dark northern locales.  I also like seeing innovative concepts for how to apply the potential of luminous textiles.
