I believe traditional “task lighting” for desks is badly due for a reinvention. I’m prototyping a new concept that provides a soft vertical plane of light, which shifts from cool white at an energizing high-angle to warm white at a cozy low-angle horizon line.

I’ve developed this concept on my own and it doesn’t have a home yet…if you are interested in licensing/buying this design for your own product line, please DM me. And I have a couple interesting variants of it, too.

For you maker nerds out there: This is laser-cut walnut veneer plywood finished with natural tung oil.
