I met a lighting designer last week who mentioned that he is now using Lumion for some of his presentation work.  Although I personally haven’t used this yet, the software looks quite powerful.  Many of the example renderings are stunning.

Of the many cool features in this software, I see a blog post from the developers about a new LiveSync for Revit feature.  It lets a designer make changes in Revit that are immediately visualized in Lumion.  This might be a very powerful feature for lighting designers working with architecture clients using Revit – they could start to do “live lighting design” directly in Revit.

This is not lightweight software – this is a beast hungry for big time video card performance, processor speed, and memory.  I can’t even demo it on my pathetic cheapo corporate laptop!
