rohinni capture

Quick update on Idaho-based startup Rohinni, which I first posted two years ago.

They seem to be making progress, albeit still in stealth mode on their product.  They have a full staff, full board, and new office.  Not much information on the product, except that they are clearly targeting the device back-lighting market.  Nevertheless, the tech might someday be applicable to architectural lighting.

The image above is interesting – but I’m guessing it is marketing bravado, not real product.  But it jives with what I wrote previously, that they are dispersing LED die in a suspension of conductive ink or adhesive.  But notice at the bottom, the grid of lights?
