Lighting Wallpaper is a small Czech startup launching screen-printed electroluminescent decorative wall tiles. They are an offshoot of ELON Technologies, a company that specializes in producing electroluminescent-animated posters for advertising.
It reminds me very much of Jonas Samson’s design concept from 2008, and it definitely falls into a similar category along with Ingo Maurer’s or MEYSTYLE’s LED wallpaper products.
The installation looks tedious — they are trying to use a copper/double-sided tape system, applied to a wall, to make the electrical connections between tiles. But aligning the whole assembly must be a nightmare, as tolerance gaps will build up as you successively mount each tile.
