Light + Building is a beast.  Every two years, close to 200,000 people, thousands of manufacturers, journalists and customers from the lighting and building automation industries descend on Frankfurt’s sprawling Messe convention center.

This is my 4th Light + Building…and every year I continue to be amazed at just how huge this show really is.  And how tough on the feet the show is — although I didn’t have a pedometer, I decided to track my rough route using Google Earth through of all the places I walked.

The result: 37 kilometers.  That’s 23 miles for my American friends.  Just shy of a marathon, plodding along trying to absorb as many sights and information as possible.

WOW!  And that doesn’t even include probably another 20 km I spent walking around Frankfurt’s city center and river area at night!

I took over 300 pictures during the show — which I hope to sort through and include in a few future posts!
