Came across this site for Chinese imports:  Mini In The Box.  Based on what I’ve seen at the tradeshows, engineering and production quality will be all over the map and has to be studied product by product.  But what impresses me most from importers such as this one is the breadth of the offerings.  Many of the products are blatant copies of Western-designed products, but still…the sheer range of stuff is impressive.  And the prices are so low that you can afford to buy a few of these and evaluate the quality yourself.

It becomes a problem of curating:  How to pick and choose the good stuff from the bad.
