What would it be like to step into a retail store and be transported to a visually rich, technicolor wonderland of motion? Of abstract biomimetic patterns, of flying through the cosmos, motion graphics of wonderous richness. With animated experiences at real-world scale that add a kaleidoscopic visual experience to connect with your guests’ emotions on a deep level.

Or maybe you will transport your guests to a natural scene of resplendent beauty and tranquility. Shopping alongside a tropical waterfall or sun drenched beach. Doesn’t that merchandise look SO MUCH BETTER next to that expansive, vibrant vista of cherry blossom trees, with the dappling light effects and petals fluttering to the ground?

Far fetched? Not at all. The cost of architectural-scale LCD or LED displays and digital projectors continues to plummet. Live rendering technologies are cheap and widespread.

The core challenge is that retail designers haven’t yet developed a conceptual design framework for how to engage such technologies at these architectural scales. They need help in crafting retail spaces that include digital-first dynamic elements such as animated motion graphics, temporal transformations at various timescales, layered realities of physical and digital, spatial interactivity and balancing all those elements for correct merchandise presentation.
