Glint Photonics is a startup that appears to be using mechatronics to change the physical position of LED optics to steer and focus light beams. Not much on their website so far, but they state:
Simply press Hero’s joystick and the Light Shift™ optics inside move the beam to follow, while the luminaire orientation and glare cut-offs are unchanged. Hero integrates into the architecture or virtually disappears into the ceiling, while flexibly directing light. Its already quiet light-emitting face can be installed pointing away from viewers for glare control.
It looks like they are competing with companies such as RCL or components supplier Lensvector.
