Happy solstice everyone. YEAH! Days only get longer from here on out.

The weather will of course get worse, but at least this is darkest part of the year. Literally.

Now Amsterdam is not insane like Finland or other places where the sun doesn’t rise in the winter nor set in the summer, but we’re still pretty far up north. Tomorrow our sunrise is at damn-I-wish-I-could-sleep-in 8:48 and sunset is at an is-it-too-early-for-a-cocktail 4:29. For those of you keeping track, that is about 7 hours and 42 minutes of low-angle, high CCT sunshine, with about 38 hours of claustrophobic darkness.
