My sons (age 7 & 9) did a wonderful little lighting project in their elementary school classes today:  Little diorama boxes (large size shoe boxes) where the teacher gave them some small battery-operated strings of LEDs or other small flashlights and asked them “to create a world inside this box“.  My kids created “spy world” and “volcano world.”  What a simple but wonderful art project to get kids excited about lighting!
