I had a flashback last night to my childhood:  I remember my dad bought a book on outdoor landscape lighting that I loved reading as a kid.  And sure enough, Amazon still lists it:  Ortho Books “How to Design & Install Outdoor Lighting” from 1984.  The Ortho series was a terrific DIY instruction series…but still, for an 8-year old???  Somehow I really connected with it, so much so that I remember it about 32 years later!

Makes me think twice about what books I get for my own kids…
