e/b office is the New York-based design collaboration of Yong Ju Lee and Brian Brush. They have some fantastic, cutting-edge parametric design projects, including a few with some very innovative lighting designs.  They also have an interesting blog with lots of process images of their projects.

Their “Dynamic Performance of Nature” installation at an art gallery uses recycled plastic fins, CNC-milled into the folded contours of the walls.  Each fin is composed of two halves screwed together; an internal channel allows concealed placement of Color Kinetics Flex, which glows through the plastic for a luminous material effect.

Two other projects make very creative use of fiber optics (I can’t believe I’m actually saying this!!!), Filament Mind (above) and Loom (below).
