24° studio – daphne

From 24° Studio, the same New York architects that created the beautiful “Hope Tree” installation I posted a couple years ago, another gorgeous temporary installation using paper modules with internal lighting called “Daphne“.

This is a terrific example of what architectural lighting should be exploring now:  Efficient standardized modules combined with parametric design and digital fabrication.  The installation produces a beautiful contemporary aesthetic, with a soft visual richness completely breaking free of past lighting paradigms.
