Via Core77, the Trioh! is a Kickstarter project by Greg Hinzman, an industrial designer in Oregon.  An elegant rechargeable flashlight that has three modes:  The typical directional flashtlight, an emergency beacon mode that turns on automatically if the power fails, and the innovative accent light function.  By twisting the lens, the optics switch from directional beam to the soft diffuser lens, a portable lantern I could see as super useful for night time dinner parties out on the patio.
