Daily Icon has a post with a very slick LED-based linear track system design from LensAss, a Belgium architecture firm that works in conjunction with Eden Design.

The track heads are very elegant, but what really caught my attention was the recessed, flush mounted version.  They made the unit compact enough to fit within the track extrusion.  Nice effect.

Not much for technical information, but the data sheet lists 24VDC remote drivers, so I’ll assume the fixtures are basically “dumb” with no on board driver.  So this makes is much easier to make a super-thin fixture to fit flush in the depth of the extrusion.

It looks a little more developed then a typical track system.  They comment  “…an innovative and state-of-the-art magnet and contact system makes that a wide variety of LED-fixtures can be inserted or moved”.
