Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas recently unveiled a massive 18′ wide by 4′ tall rear-projection, multi-touch, multi-user interactive wall for showcasing its rock’n'roll memorabilia collection. Developed by Obscura Digital, a San Fransisco-based “digital design and technology marketing agency,” the wall uses three 1920 pixel HD projectors along with some serious graphics processing power to render a huge number of images and video clips with live multi-touch manipulation.
Additionally, the localized audio system was developed by Technomedia Solutions.

Check out the video:
Obscura Digital has a fantastic array of projects on their website, including stunning projections mapped onto building facades (including curving geometries), projections mapped onto cars at an autoshow for an “x-ray” vision effect, and many more. Check out their demo real for some real eye-candy.
I’d like to point out that they put this same technology on the web, using Microsoft’s Silverlight DeepZoom technology:
http://memorabilia.hardrock.com/ (you’ll need SilverLight installed)
If anyone saw the TED talk on the SeaDragon and Photosynth given by the Microsoft R&D team, this is the technology integrated into an actual end-user application.
It was developed by Vertigo, and they have other DeepZoom based projects ( http://www.vertigo.com/Silverlight.aspx ), one of them is a huge collection of historic Playboy magazines ( http://www.vertigo.com/bondi.aspx ).
